Mad River Valley Craft Fair 2015Attention fans of spectacle, entertainment, and hand-made, one-of-a-kind goods: the 45th annual Mad River Valley Craft Fair is just weeks away – Labor Day Weekend, September 5th and 6th, 2015!

Too often the term “craft fair” conjures up visions of yarn and noodles glued to construction paper, lumpy clay ashtrays, and uneven, hairy macrame plant hangers – well, you can let that image fade from your mind when you consider the Mad River Valley Craft Fair. This is no middle-school event but, rather an extension of the Vermont Festival of the Arts and all that implies.

Vendors at the Mad River Valley Craft Fair are true artists and artisans, masters of their given craft who have spent years perfecting their skills to create unique, durable, and beautiful items to decorate or use around your house, office, or to give as a gift. The talent of the vendors is reflected in the popularity of the festival, now celebrating its 45th year.

The Mad River Valley Craft Fair even offers a Personal Shopping Service to help you find the gift you’re after among the throng. They can even offer helpful, educated gift suggestions, based upon who you’re buying for and what each vendor at the show has to offer!

With so much to browse through, you could be here some time – luckily the Mad River Valley Craft Fair Food Court will be open and offering reasonably priced, delicious meals and snack foods appropriate for a number of dietary needs.

Feeding your body is good – but what about your flagging soul? No worries! The Mad River Valley Craft Fair will feature two live bands to keep you on your feet: Saturday it’s the foot-tapping sounds of the Green Mountain Swing Band, followed on Sunday by Mama’s Medicine (Colleen Mari)!

With more than 100 of the region’s top artists and artisans displaying and selling their hand-crafted wares, live music, delicious eats, entertainment for kids of ALL ages, and all of it in a modern Renaissance atmosphere with the majestic Green Mountains as a backdrop, who wouldn’t want to attend the Mad River Valley Craft Fair?
